Watch the Loclock is a bicycle locking system for public spaces. It comes in six different colours and is made of concrete and polyethylene. It is easy to install and weighs only 15 kilogrammes.
The bike lock is completely tamper-proof and its soft coating reduces stress and damage to bicycles locked to it. Designed by Alex Fernández Camps, the Loclock has already won several design awards.
The DesignEuropa Awards jury praised the design’s simplicity and functionality as a piece of modern street furniture.
Durbanis is a relatively young company, founded in 2008 by Germán Rubio, and based in Girona. It now exports around 80% of its products, with the Loclock being its first ever bicycle lock. Durbanis is a highly design-intensive company, which regularly collaborates with leading Spanish designers.
