Protect your intellectual property in the European Union

Dashboard

In the Dashboard Section of your User Area you can view all your European Union trade marks (EUTMs), Confidential registered Community designs (RCDs), Public RCDs and Oppositions. In addition, you have the possibility of displaying quick links and creating shortcuts to search applications like eSearch plus.

Access the Dashboard section via the User Area sign at the header section of your screen. The Dashboard will open by default.

Use your mouse to hover over the elements shown in the table view; a pop-up will appear displaying additional information.

There are four tabs in the Dashboard section of the User Area:

  • EUTM

  • Confidential RCD

  • Public RCD

  • Oppositions

  • Table view and detail view

    You can choose to view the data for the EUTM, Confidential RCD and Public RCD sections in the 'Table view' (default) or the 'Detail view' by clicking on the icons on the upper right-hand side of the display Table and detail view icons

    Note: Oppositions are only displayed in the table view.

    Status
    A file (trade mark, design or opposition) can be at different stages of the application process. This is displayed in the 'Status' column.

    In the table view, hover over the icon "Status icon" and a pop up will give information on the file's status.

    In the detail view, the status is automatically displayed in one of the fields.

    Note: When a design has been published, the information can be viewed in the Public RCD tab. When the design is at the application stage, the details can be viewed in the Confidential RCD tab. When a design has been deferred, the owner/representative will see the design information in both the Public RCD tab and Confidential RCD tab (showing limited details). At the same time, other users will see a deferred design only in the Public RCD tab, with limited information displayed.

  • Filtering and sorting data

    Data that is displayed in the table view can be filtered and sorted by using the default options listed in the filter dropdown menu or by filters created using your own requirements.

    Creating a new filter
    To create a new filter click on the arrow to expand the menu, then choose the option 'Create new filter'. Another window will open with the options available. In the list that appears, click on the '+' icon to view any additional options.

    Once the options have been specified, the filter can be saved by selecting the 'Save filter' checkbox; a name should be given to the new filter. Finally, click on the button marked 'Filter' to complete the task.

  • Actions' tabs

    Below is a list of the action tabs (and their functions) available in the Dashboard section.

    To activate the action tabs from the table view click one of the checkboxes on the left-hand side of the table.

    To activate the action tabs from the detail view select the checkbox at the top left of the header.

    Adding new notes

    • Add a note to a single element: click on the 'Add new note' icon Add new note icon at the right-hand side of the row in the table view. Add the note by entering the information in the pop-up window.

    • Add a note to multiple elements: Select the checkbox(es) at the left-hand side of the rows in the table view Checkbox icon or the top left-hand side in the detail view, and then click on the 'Edit notes' button within the action tabs section.

    Editing notes

    • Editing a single note: when a note has been added to an element in the list, the icon next to it darkens Edit notes icon
      Click on the darkened icon at the right-hand side of the row in the table view. Edit the note by entering the information in the pop-up window.

    • Editing multiple notes: select the checkbox(es) at the left-hand side and then click on the 'Edit notes' button within the action tabs section. Edit the note by entering the information in the pop-up window.

    Renewal
    Select the checkbox(es) at the left-hand side of the row in the table view or the top left-hand side in the detail view and then click on the 'Renewal' button within the action tabs section.

    This function will only be available for trade marks and designs that are due for renewal.

    Inspection request
    You can only make an inspection request for one file at a time.

    When you click on the ‘Inspection request' button you will be redirected to the online request form. A new window will open; your inspection request can be made from here.

    Change reference
    Create a new personal reference ID for your application. Select the checkbox at the left-hand side of the row in the table view then click on the 'Change reference' button within the action tabs section. Enter your new personal reference ID in the field provided in the pop-up window. This functionality is not available for International Registrations.

    When you click on this option you will be redirected to TMview where you can search for similar trade marks.

  • Access eSearch plus from the Dashboard

    In the table view, click anywhere over the line of data to be redirected to view the selected element in eSearch plus.

    In the detail view, click over the mark/design name or the link 'View in eSearch plus' to be redirected to view the selected element in eSearch plus.

  • Add widgets

    The 'Add widgets' button Add widgets button at the bottom right-hand side of the page gives you the option of adding new widgets to your dashboard for the following functions:

    • Quick links

    • TMview

    • eSearch plus

    • Online forms

    • eSearch case law

    Click on the 'Add widgets' button and choose the widget you want to add from the dropdown list. The widget then appears at the bottom of the page. To remove the widget click on the 'x' in the header.

  • Quick links

    The Quick links widget allows you to add links to information that you want to access easily; eliminating the need to search through all your saved data.

    First you need to create a Quick Links widget in your User Area.

    Once your Quick Links widget is active, you can look for links to add to it. When you browse through the website, you will find in the right-hand side navigation the option to add a page to the Quick Links widget; it is represented by this icon . Click on it and add the link to your widget.

    Remove a quick link

    • On your Quick links widget, click on the edit button represented by a pen icon

    • An 'x' will be displayed next to your selected links, click on it to remove the quick link. Click on 'save.'
