Do you want us to publish your design(s) immediately after registration?	yes no check
Depending on your strategy, you may, when filing a design application, request that its publication be deferred for a period of 30 months from the date of filing the application or, if priority is claimed, from the date of priority. Deferring publication enables you to keep your design confidential while still enjoying the benefits of registration. This option is of most value to rapidly changing economic sectors, such as fashion design. The period of confidentiality gives you the opportunity to develop your marketing strategy further or finalise preparations for production without competitors being aware of your design. A deferment fee has to be paid when filing your application. In the case of a multiple application, you can choose to request deferment for only some of the designs rather than the whole set.
