Performing a basic search
Use the basic search to search within EUIPO's database for information on published trade marks, designs, owners and representatives. Basic search is the default search option when the eSearch plus application opens.
Enter the name or number you want to search for in the search field, then click on the 'Search' button. The system will search for 'trade mark name', 'design verbal element' or 'name of owner/representative'.
The basic search option is recommended for carrying out quick searches for:
- Trade marks
- Designs
- Owner information
- Representative information
Basic searches do not return any information on daily publications. For information on these, use the advanced search option.
