IP Case Law Conference
Substantive and Procedural issues of Trade Mark and Design Dispute Resolution

On 7-8 May, the Office will hold its second IP Case Law Conference. The event will be dedicated to substantive and procedural issues surrounding trade mark and design registration.
This conference builds on the first IP Case Law Conference which took place in May 2016.
The 2018 conference will bring together users of the international IP systems, practitioners, judges, national and international institutions and administrations for a two day event.
Distinguished speakers from various walks of IP life will discuss a wide range of Intellectual Property law topics, such as:
- The interplay between trade marks, designs and copyrights;
- The role of Boards of Appeal as both European and international dispute resolution bodies;
- The case law concerning proceedings before the General Court and Court of Justice – which will have its own session for the first time;
- Conflicts between unregistered signs, domain names and trade marks;
- And, due to its growing importance, design case law.
The event is designed to be as innovative and user-focused as possible. It will be held in an interactive format with ample opportunity for questions from the audience.
An attendance certificate will be provided for those who request it.
The language of the conference is English, but simultaneous interpretation into French and Spanish will be provided.
