EU enforcement of IPRs results at the EU border and in the EU int...European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights This factual document on the ‘EU enforcement of intellectual property rights: results at the EU border and in the EU internal market, 2021’, has been produced from the data on the detentions at the EU ...Altro This factual document on the ‘EU enforcement of intellectual property rights: results at the EU border and in the EU internal market, 2021’, has been produced from the data on the detentions at the EU border reported by the customs authorities of all the Member States, through the EU-wide anti-counterfeit and anti-piracy information system (COPIS), as well as the data on detentions within the internal market reported by the enforcement authorities of some EU Members States, through the IP Enforcement Portal (IPEP). Its objective is to provide useful information to support the analysis of IPR infringements in the EU and the development of appropriate countermeasures. On a broader scale, it should provide EU policymakers with data to develop an evidence base for priorities and policies. The ‘EU enforcement of intellectual property rights: results at the EU border and in the EU internal market, 2021’ shows the figures resulted from the detentions carried out in that year and their comparison with the previous ones. This edition includes a comparison between the estimates of fakes and detentions of this type of goods in the EU border. Between March and May 2022, the collection of data for the SME Scoreboard took place with data from 8 372 SMEs in the 27 EU Member States. This new study provides valuable data that could serve the implementation of the European Commission’s SME strategy for a sustainable and digital Europe and IP action plan. The Scoreboard data is also key to improving the EUIPO’s initiatives aimed at supporting European SMEs, including those under the SME programme, launched in cooperation with the European Commission and the national and regional IP offices in response to the impact on SMEs of the COVID-19 pandemic....Meno |
