About Knister Grill
Knister Grill is a sustainable, high-quality and locally produced grill (charcoal or gas), which is fully recyclable and easy to transport. It is a response to the waste created by disposable barbecue grills, and is even dishwasher safe.
Its compact dimensions make it easily to transport – it can even fit onto the handlebars of a bicycle. The Knister Grill can be extended to double its size and is suitable for barbecue parties from four to eight people.
About the designer and the company
Carolin Kunert studied industrial design at Munich University of Applied Sciences, as well as studying at the University of Southern Denmark. She wanted to develop long-lasting, innovative, local, affordable products and in the winter of 2017 founded Knister Grill in Munich.
At Knister Grill she leads the product development team and is responsible for management and sales. Since 2020, Carolin has been on the Forbes 30 under 30 list and is one of Europe’s aspiring young business founders.
