Our work
EUIPO's Academy uses a varied and dynamic course format to achieve an integrated approach to learning.

EUIPO Academy Learning Portal hosts a wide range of learning resources with features for online collaboration.
In addition, the EUIPO Academy maintains a knowledge repository, a single access point to EUIPO's wealth of information.
The Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship Programme was launched in 2014 and bridges academia and the intellectual property labour market. Through this programme high achieving young university graduates can access paid traineeships in EUIPO and the EPO, helping them get a foot in the door of the competitive world of intellectual property.
The Academy also coordinates the involvement of the EUIPO in the EIPIN-Innovation Society PhD programme, a joint doctorate in intellectual property funded by the EU Commission, and run by five Universities that are the EIPIN’s academic partners:
- Magister Lvcentinvs (ML), University of Alicante
- Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI), University of Strasbourg
- Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management (IPKM), Maastricht University
- Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC), University of Augsburg
- Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute (QMIPRI), University of London
As a partner organisation, the EUIPO provides speakers for conferences and seminars, grants access to our intellectual property data and to our online training catalogue, as well as supporting dissemination initiatives like the publication of thesis. In addition, researchers taking part in the joint doctorate programme can also take part in on-site research visits.
Our training and learning activities
Our seminars, courses and workshops take place throughout the year. We also organise seasonal courses and networking opportunities. Our online activities are especially popular and every month we organise webinars and streamed conferences, which we announce in our events calendar.
The courses cover everything from cutting-edge intellectual property (IP) knowledge, new IP tools to case law.
